Today I am sharing my very first blog post of a desert family photography session with LORI O PHOTO in Phoenix, AZ!
The Elbert Family, and I go way back! In fact, the mama is my sister! 🙂
You would think that taking pictures of your family should be the easiest thing in the world. However, this is not always the case. My sister hadn’t done family photos in a while. I kept telling her she needed to get photos of the family, but she always hates the way she looks and stresses over what everyone will wear and just does not enjoy the experience.
This time was different. We chose a location that was right around the corner from their house. They literally walked. She found a dress she liked and felt good in [and I had recommended going with a dress and heels for the most flattering look]. The perfect dark navy was easy to pair with clothes for the kids and hubby. And the kids! They were excited to have their photos done and even had fun shopping for new outfits!
By the time everyone walked over to the desert location, they all felt good about themselves. They all looked great! And they were ready to have fun! So we had fun! We let them pick their own poses. We let them make silly faces. We made them giggle. And you know what? The genuine fun they had at the shoot translated to perfect photos [and mama loved them]! Score!
