In 2012, we wore our VERY FIRST family Halloween costume. We ran through several family costume ideas and ultimately were inspired by the first Disney The Incredibles movie. Although you can totally buy a costume for every family member now, we didn’t have that luxury back then.
Our costume was a 100% DIY job, and I was super proud of it! We got the look we wanted with shirts and pants on clearance at Walmart, a bunch of felt, and some black acrylic paint!
That was the year that Jeremy made the rule that he would only participate if he didn’t have to wear pants and didn’t have to use face paint. To be fair, it is still often pretty hot in Phoenix around Halloween. Where other people’s kids are covering their cute costumes in coats, ours are sweating and stripping theirs off.
