Every year our family Halloween costume just seems to get better and better! We were SO EXCITED last year to come up with a Hollywood Movie Monsters theme! The monsters we selected were:
- Frankenstein’s Monster
- Bride of Frankenstein
- Dracula
- Bride of Dracula (one of them!)
- Mummy
- Creature from the Black Lagoon
I absolutely loved how it turned out, and most of it was DIY with costume items bought from Goodwill, makeup we already had in the cupboard, muslin torn to shreds for our mummy, tea stained clothes from the thrift store for our bride of Dracula, and other things we had around the house.
We did need to buy a few items and that included:
- Creature of the Black Lagoon costume (this was simply easier to buy than to make)
- Dracula costume (we couldn’t find exactly what we wanted and decided it was faster to purchase)
- Frankenstein’s makeup
