This weekend I did a style of event photography that I don’t do very often….a golf tournament! Hosted in Surprise, AZ at Arizona Traditions Golf Club, the Papa Joc & Fatty Open had their 6th Annual Charity Golf Classic. Six years ago, the tournament was just a small group of guys who wanted to celebrate some birthdays and play some golf. It has evolved into a tournament with over 100 players, giveaways, and over 20 amazing raffle prizes. The most important change is that it benefits the charities of American Diabetes Association and Sisters by Heart who have directly impacted the lives of some of the players. I was excited to donate a free family session as well as time to these great causes!
The temperature was perfect, and it was lightly overcast in Surprise that day, but it was WINDY giving additional challenge to the golfers. Despite the wind, everyone seemed to have a great time!
